Who is eligible to apply for assistance?

Current Learning Care employees who are in good standing and have been employed for at least 90 days may apply for assistance. Some types of assistance, including eviction prevention and utility shutoff prevention, require at least one year of employment.

What types of situations may qualify for assistance?

The iCare Foundation may be able to assist employees facing serious hardships such as natural disasters, fire, domestic violence situations, funeral expenses, eviction or foreclosure prevention, utility shutoff prevention, and other qualifying emergency circumstances.

What expenses can the Foundation help cover?

Each application is reviewed individually based on the circumstances. Assistance may be available for needs related to housing, personal property loss, funeral expenses, and other emergency-related costs. Expenses covered by insurance are generally not eligible for assistance.

How do I apply for assistance?

Complete the online application form and provide any requested documentation. A member of the iCare Foundation team will review your submission and contact you for additional details to determine eligibility.

What information will I need to provide?

Applicants may be asked to provide information about household income, monthly expenses, and documentation related to the hardship being experienced. This information helps determine eligibility and the level of assistance that may be available.

Is my application confidential?

Yes. Information and documentation provided to the iCare Foundation are treated as private and confidential. Information is shared only when necessary to administer assistance and with the applicant's consent when applicable.

How much assistance can I receive?

Grant amounts vary based on individual circumstances and qualifying event maximums and are subject to iCare Foundation guidelines and review.

Can I apply on behalf of a coworker?

Employees are encouraged to apply directly so the iCare Foundation can accurately assess their needs and circumstances. If you know someone who may benefit from assistance, encourage them to submit an application or contact the foundation.

Can the iCare Foundation answer questions about my employment?

No. The iCare Foundation operates as a separate nonprofit organization and does not have access to employment-related information or policies.
